Bay Lane To Run First Time Out At Tatura On Saturday

Country TAB racing will be held at Tatura Race Club on Saturday, September 23 with Craig Widdison supplying one runner, in the form of career first starter Bay Lane, to compete in the Ladbrokes Odds Boost maiden plate over 1100m with Brian Higgins aboard jumping from barrier three with a field of 11 to compete.

Bay Lane is a four-year-old gelding by Zariz out of the dam Amber Virtue.

He is on debut but placed in an 800m barrier trial at Wodonga, on September 12, finishing seven of nine with Nick Souquet the pilot arriving 0.8 lengths behind the heat winner, Skillriva with Bluetooth arriving in third, with a heat time of 48.76 recorded for the dash.

The stable wishes connections the best of luck with the first starter at Tatura on Saturday.
