Cagney Relishes The Going To Score Race 7 On The Corowa Card

Jul 04, 2017

The rain that fell throughout the day possibly increased the chances of the Widdison trained Cagney victory, with the stablemate, and well supported As Bad As Tyson finishing in third, as the seventh event on the Corowa card was reduced to a heavy (8).

On leaving the stalls the two Widdison runners tailed Brightly Goes until midway down the straight, Cagney stepped off the leader's heels to run past Brightly Goes in a confident display of a horse enjoying the softer going.

Stablemate As Bad As Tyson could not deliver a knockout blow coming home in third, though trainer Craig Widdison gave both gallopers a tick for their competitiveness in this outing.
