Mar 07, 2017

Lord Laurie contested successfully in the Raine & Horne three-year-old maiden over a 1000m, with the runner first up from a spell-ridden by Richard Bensley.

As the runners left the stalls, Blind Turn led, Lady Marmalade was between runners with Lord Laurie in the blinkers being urged along by Bensley as the runners straightened for home.

Coming to the concluding stages of the event Lord Laurie was clear with 100m to go and although challenged late on the line by Ligny, it was Lord Laurie trained by Craig Widdison, landing the prize for connections Mr R H Sloane, Mrs S M Sloane, with Blind Turn finishing 3rd on this occasion.
